Janice Ouber

Janice Susan Ouber, known to all as “Sue”, returned to her heavenly home on January 19, 2019 at the age of 69. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.Sue is proceeded in death by her parents Pete and Carolyn Anderson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, David Ouber, Sr., her loving children; David Ouber, Jr. (Spring), Sheree Fontenot (Jonathan); her four beautiful grandchildren; Ava, Harlie Owen and Summer Rose, her three gracious sisters, Kay ST. Phillip, Patsy Burrows, and Valerie Garnica (Nesto). Sue is also survived by her devoted in-laws; Fay Lowry, Rita Munch and Glen and Rhonda Ouber, and loyal neighbors/cousins of many years Marilyn and Billy Allen. Sue also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who all had a special place in her heart along with countless friends and family and last not least her dog “LucyLu.” Sue was the embodiment of family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, friend and coworker. Sue was a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish School System, she was the account clerk at Haynes Academy for over 20 years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition, her selfless ways and unconditional love for others. Sue was a collector of many things, Angels, Bees, and Saints paraphernalia,, Sue was an avid Saints Fan. Family and friends are invited to attend a  Memorial Service Celebrating her Life on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at ST. Mark Lutheran Church in Bucktown,1520 Chickasaw Ave. Metairie, LA 70005 with visitation from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 pm service will start at 1:00 pm.
