Zahlanie Francis

Zahlaine A. Francis age 62 was born on February 24, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to the late Adam C. Francis and Dorothy M. Francis.

Her loving partner Gary D. Hooper, one daughter Dorothy Kelly, one granddaughter Angel Griffin, one brother Alvin Francis, and sister Theralaine Francis proceeds and one sister Doris A. Cooper succeeds her in death.

On September 1, 2021, she received a call from our Heavenly Father letting her know it was time to come home.

She is celebrated by her 3 loving daughters Theralaine A. Kelly (Julius), Turnisha Griffin (Andrew), Quintasha Kelly (Indion) and 9 grandchildren Darreion Kelly, Rodrick Kelly, Iliyeah Griffin, Ah’Laijah Griffin, Ah’Lanna Griffin, Jeron Pierce, Jerome Pierce, Jyren Pierce, and Jyra Pierce. She was loved by her sister and brothers Olidia Thomas, Kelford Francis (Andrea), Bobby Francis (Betty), Myron Francis (Debra), Vernon Francis (Marilyn), Rudolph Francis (Lilly), Clifford Francis and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special family [and friends. Zahlaine was a wonderful woman which was demonstrated by her generous heart. She was the “rock” of the family. She will mostly be remembered by her smile, laugh and ability to uplift any room she entered with her joyful presence. She was a woman of God, and her family was everything to her. She will truly be missed by her family and those who had the pleasure to know her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life for Zahlaine on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St in Harvey from 1pm to 2pm. It will be followed by a repass at the Israel Baptist Church Hall.
