Wilfred "Billy" James Sanchez Jr.

Wilfred “Billy” James Sanchez Jr, moved on March 9, 2024 at the age of 71. He was a native of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of Saint Tammany Parish. Billy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Wilfred James Sanchez Sr. and Lillie May Morgan on March 15 1952. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Wilfred James Sanchez Sr., and Lillie May Morgan, his son, Keith Paul Sanchez, and his brother, David Sanchez.

Billy leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia Atherton Burkhardt Sanchez, his children, Randy Jay Sanchez (Dawn), Erin Casey (John); His Siblings, Pauline Sanchez, John Sanchez, and Michael Sanchez, Grandchildren, David Keith Sanchez and Kaylin Celeste Sanchez. 

Billy enjoyed gardening, fishing, poetry, reading, and taking care of his chickens. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a service at Saint Benedict Catholic Church 20370 Smith Rd, Covington, LA 70435 on March 16, 2024. A visitation will start at 10 AM with mass to take place at 12 PM and internment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Abbey Cemetery 75376 River Rd, St Benedict, LA 70457
