Wayne Cheramie

Wayne John Cheramie passed away unexpectedly at his home in Metairie on April 11, 2018 at the age of 65. Wayne was the son of Mack and Edith (Gisclair) Cheramie of Lafourche Parish.  He is survived by his wife Virgie (Breaux) Cheramie: two daughters Valerie (Mark) Hulse and Nicole Buckeridge: a son Peter (Shannon) Cheramie and his son-in-law, Michael Albers: eighteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his mother, Edith (Gisclair) Cheramie and his sisters; Cindy and Dina Cheramie. Wayne is proceeded in death by his father, Mack Cheramie, and his sister Cathy (Cheramie) Raines.  He was born and raised in Lafourche parish, and resided in Metairie. Beloved Son, Father, and Grandfather; Wayne will be sadly missed; he was a loving generous person who gave of himself to his family, friends, and neighbors. A Memorial service is scheduled for April 20, 2019, 11 am -12 pm at Vineyard Church of New Orleans, 4340 Sal Lentini Pkwy, Kenner, LA 70065 (visitation 10-11), with a reception to follow.  Shawn Rich, associate pastor will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wayne's life.
