Warren Paul Brunner

The time has come to celebrate the life of Warren Paul “Rusty” Brunner as we announce his passing.  Rusty peacefully passed away in Mandeville, LA Tuesday November 21, 2017 at the age of 73.  Rusty was born in New Orleans, LA on January 13, 1944.  He graduated from Jesuit High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from LSU New Orleans.  Rusty’s working career began at a very young age.  Any chance there was for Rusty to make a dime or save a penny was taken.  As a child he sold baby box turtles he found to the local pet store.  His first official job was as an ice-cream delivery boy for Brown’s Velvet Dairy at the age of 14.  The strong work ethic he built for himself as a young boy continued on throughout his life, and, after working his way through college selling bibles door to door, he spent the remainder of his working career as a manufacturer’s  representative selling furniture for over 40 years.  Rusty is preceded in death by his parents Warren J. Brunner of New Orleans, LA and Dolores Dauterive Brunner of Loreauville, LA. Rusty, loving husband and father, is survived by his wife of 26 years, Erin K. Brunner (McNamara); his four children David Michael Brunner (Terri), Dawn Brunner McManus (Wade), Bailey L. Brunner, Indiana C. Brunner, his step-son Cody A. Peck; his five grandchildren Sean McManus, Mollye McManus, Sadie McManus, Darby Brunner, and Josh Brunner; his brother Shane Brunner; and his niece and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday November 28, 2017, at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, LA 70433.  Visitation begins at 10:00 am until service time. Internment will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery Covington, LA.
