Wanda Biggers

Wanda Delores “Dee” Biggers was born in Houma, LA on October 7, 1939 and passed away in Covington, LA on Sunday February 28, 2021. She was one of 7 daughters (Juanita, Blackie, Loy Ann, Bobbie, Norma, Sue) of George Jenkins of Skiatook, OK and Leah Ayers of Mountain Home, AK. She was a resident of Covington for 66 years. She enjoyed gathering with her family and friends and travelling when she could. She had a great sense of humor and was especially fond of listening to gospel and bluegrass music. Friends would gather and while the men would play, the woman would listen and sing along with them.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Bobby Preston Biggers, grandson Kirk Maynard, and granddaughter Yvonne Biggers. She is survived by a loving family who will greatly miss her.  This includes 3 children, Theresa King (Stan), Wesley Biggers (Cheri), and Scott Biggers (Christy).  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Kim Morere (Grant), Kandace Maynard, Lacey Sherrer (Brian), Wes Biggers (Stephanie), Seth Biggers, Lauren Biggers, and Andrew Biggers. Great grandchildren include Nicholas Morere (Lauren), Kaylynn LaCoste, Katie Grabert, Kirk Stein, Ysadora Telkin, and Veda Sherrer and one great great granddaughter Stella Rae Morere.
