Virginia Yoakum
February 28, 1925 — June 5, 2016
Virginia B. Yoakum passed away on Sunday, June 5th, at the age of 91. Virginia recently moved to Mandeville be near her family and was a long time resident of Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Yoakum, her parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Beardsley, and her brother, Robert Beardsley. She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law Zachery and Rebecca Smith of Madisonville, her granddaughter Tracie Sailas, her granddaughter’s husband Delphy Sailas, and great-grandson Nico Sailas all from Redondo Beach California. She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren: Brian Bass, Lanessa Bass, Stephanie Curts, Jessica Driscoll, Jacob Mulkey, and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Brookdale Senior Living community of Mandeville and Notre Dame Hospice of Slidell for their loving compassion and care they provided to Mrs. Yoakum.
