Vaughn Irlin McNamee passed away on January 9, 2019 at his home in Abita Springs, Louisiana. Vaughn was born on October 12, 1940 in Los Angela’s, California to Merle Dean McNamee and Adelia Berniece McNamee. In his younger days Vaughn worked for his family’s business Kamp King Koach, building and designing RV’s, later he became a highly skilled Carpenter, even recognized in Better Homes and Gardens. Vaughn’s passion was music, he played the Saxophone in a band in and around Los Angeles in the 60’s and 70’s before meeting his first wife and having a family. Vaughn was known for his quick wit and funny personality or should we say smart ass sense of humor. He had a warm, kind gentle heart and soul. Vaughn was a true and loyal friend to many. He had a positive outlook on life for others and wanted them to see the good side of life. He loved sharing his wild and crazy stories of his wild ride with friends and family, he should have wrote a book it was that enticing. Vaughn is survived by his 4 children, 2 sons: Roby McNamee and Sean McNamee, 2 daughters: Misty Szekely and Ambra Peters, 2 son-in-laws: Laszlo Szekely and Jacob Peters, a daughter-in-law: Lisa McNamee and his 9 grandchildren: Misty Borgen, Tyler Szekely, Devin Szekely Flint, Randell McNamee, Kersty Szekely, Tristan Bernardi, Riley McNamee, Darby Peters and Koen Peters. “Gramps” you will forever be remember and missed! We know you are dancing in the Sky.
