Ursula Honea

The children of Ursula Honea are saddened to announce the passing of their mother on January 16, 2025 at the age of 67 at her home in Bush, LA. A longtime resident of the Westbank in Louisiana, Ursula was born on December 3, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany to Hans and Ortrud Konrad. In 1969 her family immigrated to Long Island, New York, and finally settled in Louisiana. Where she remained until her passing. 

Ursula is preceded in death by both her parents, her sister Marion Treadway, and also her loving husband of 37 years Malcolm Honea Sr.  

She behind leaves her 6 children to celebrate her legacy: Tammy Painter (husband Christopher), Michelle Honea Ruiz, Malcolm Honea Jr., William Honea (Special Friend Pam Irwin), Tracy Whittaker (husband David), and Robert Honea (wife Casey) She is also survived by the blessings that are her grandchildren: Skiye Brant, James Brant Jr. Roger Painter, Raiyne Brant, Carson Painter, Victoria Cotton, Savannah Ruiz, Gabriella Ruiz, Austin Ruiz, Abigail Honea, Leelind Honea, Madison Whittaker, Anna Whittaker, David Whittaker Jr. Natalie Whittaker, and Robert Honea Jr. Followed by her 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ursula requested no tears to be shed from her passing, but wanted her life to be remembered with happy memories to be shared with all her family and friends. 

In lieu of a service, we will be celebrating her life on 1/25/2025 at the Collab Covington at 1 PM. May the arms of angels enfold her. May she rest in a deep and gentle peace. .
