Tyler Houk

Tyler Mills Houk, 35, departed this world unexpectedly, early morning, July 9, 2022.

Tyler was born on September 14, 1986, in Covington, Louisiana, beloved son of Dorisa (Dodie) and Charles (Chuck) Houk.

Tyler is survived by his brothers, Daniel Polen, Chas Houk (Rachel), nieces; Brooklyn and Mikaela. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose lives he touched in so many ways. He will be greatly missed. Tyler was preceded in death by grandparents; Buddy Beck, Jeannie Riffel, Preston and Mickie Houk. Tyler loved his family and togetherness.

Tyler was a professional painter, skilled craftsman, with a keen eye for detail. He enjoyed working with so many great people over the years. He loved music and electronics. His deepest passion was fishing. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He loved action and thrills. We will always picture him on the water reeling in the catch! Until we meet again, always in our hearts!

Tyler’s family is overwhelmed with the generosity and outpouring of love shown to us at this difficult time and we express our deepest gratitude.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
