Thomas Herman Allen, Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Mandeville, Louisiana at the age of 56. Born on September 19, 1968, and a native of Kenner, Louisiana, Thomas lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and his Australian Shepherds.
As a retired Deputy from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, Thomas committed himself wholeheartedly to serving his community. His years of service were marked by integrity and his willingness to protect and serve, traits that have left a mark on those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Thomas was a proud Navy Gulf War Veteran. He held honor for his service and carried the values learned during his time in the military throughout his life.
Thomas had a deep love for cars, particularly Mustangs, which fueled his passion for drag racing. He could often be found enjoying the thrill of the race or sipping coffee while talking about his next project. His admiration extended beyond cars to Ducati motorcycles—a reflection of his adventurous spirit.
His wife, Martha Davis Allen, and his children, Raine and Christiane with her husband Caleb, were the center of his universe. He cherished each moment spent with them, creating memories that will be forever treasured. Thomas was also a devoted brother to Craig and Scott, and a caring brother to sisters Melanie and Michelle. He is also survived by his loving mother, Sylvia Couvillion. The love he shared with his family was profound, transcending words.
Among his many joys, his Australian Shepherds—Cookie, Bell, Red, Ellie, Mazie, Murphy, Maybelle, and Hazel—held a special place in his heart. They were not merely pets, but loyal companions who brought laughter and warmth into his life.
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue through his beloved family. He was not only a nurturing father but also a proud grandfather to Jaxson, who was the center of his world and whose smile brought immense joy into his life.
