Theodore "Ted" A. Opiela passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Slidell, LA at the age of 79. He was born on October 13, 1935 in Panna Maria, TX.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Chapman Opiela; his parents, Gertrude and Theodore Opiela, and his sister, Irene O. Lancaster.
He is survived by his children, Ted Opiela (Sylvia), Tim Opiela (Kimberly), Tom Opiela (Helen), Ken Opiela (Peggy), and Tammy Opiela Daly (John); his sister, Helen Opiela Machost; and grandchildren, Melissa Hughes (Randall), Lori, Chris, Angelica, Andrew, Thomas Jacob, and Jayne Ellen Opiela, and Michaela Parham, Alex and Jackson Daly; and four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, 309 W McDowell Rd., Jackson, MS 39204 on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
