Thelma Christine Sharp

Thelma Christine Sharp, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on February 7, 2025, in her hometown of Covington, Louisiana. She was born on August 21, 1964, also in Covington, and lived a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Thelma was a passionate person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, canning, and cooking. She especially loved sharing her knowledge and skills with her grandchildren, teaching them to hunt, fish, can, and cook. Her enthusiasm and dedication to these activities brought joy not just to her, but to all those who had the pleasure of experiencing them with her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry D. Sharp, her daughter Stacey M. Sharp (Chaning T. Clark), her son Terry Sharp (Keli D. Smith-Sharp), and her sisters Paulette Sharp, Paula King, and Tammy Stogner (Larry Stogner),  and  brother Darrell Jenkins (Jennifer Jenkins).Thelma was a proud grandmother to Laine M. Sharp, G. Dylan Pounds, Tyler S. Seeling, Masyn S. Lumpkin, Molly J. Sharp, and Charleigh M. Sharp.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Jenkins and M. Elaine Jenkins, her father-in-law Bart L. Sharp, her mother-in-law Audrey G. Sharp, her brother-in-law Johnny Sharp, and brother-in-law Wendell King.

Visitation for Thelma will take place at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435. The visitation will be held on February 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on February 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow on February 15, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM and ending at 3:00 PM. Burial to follow in the Barker McManus Cemetery Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana. 

Thelma Christine Sharp will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
