Terrel Noel, a loving husband, devoted father, proud Navy veteran, and self-made man, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 76 in Abita Springs, Louisiana. Terrel was the epitome of dedication and hard work, building his own home with his own two hands, always providing for his family with unwavering love and commitment. Known for his resourcefulness, Terrel was a modern-day MacGyver who could fix anything. He poured that same passion and care into his work, first serving his country in the Navy and later dedicating his skills to the shipyards of Louisiana, where his craftsmanship was second to none.
Terrel is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Celestine (Tina) Noel, who was the love of his life and constant companion. Together, they raised two cherished children, David Noel (wife, Esmeralda) and Terri N. Jens (husband, Bradley).
Terrel’s love for his family was at the center of everything he did, and his grandchildren—Hunter Jens, Brittany Noel, Eric Jens, Jacques Noel, and Chloe Noel—were the light of his life. In his final days, Chloe was steadfastly by his side, holding his hand, and her loving voice was among the last he heard.
He leaves behind his sisters Gloria Aymond, Kathy Wray, Missy Noel, Claire Sniff, and Dana St. Pierre, along with a lifetime of memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Terrel was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Noel and Geraldine Noel. Terrel found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved. His legacy of love, strength, and dedication will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass to celebrate Terrel’s life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Hwy 437 in Covington, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in Eternal Rest Cemetery.
Terrel will be dearly missed, but his love and the countless memories he created will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
