Tariq Qadir passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 45. Tariq was a native of India and a longtime resident of Mandeville, Louisiana.
Tariq leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife Hillary Treadaway Qadir, his parents, Kamal and Shahnaz Qadir, his children; John Harris Qadir (Jack) age 13, Adam Joseph Qadir age 9, and his sister Shazia Qadir Misquitta.
Tariq was born in Saudi Arabi while his father worked there. He attended primary school at Dhahran Academy and boarded at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut for secondary school. He graduated from Ole Miss with a BA in Business Administration, where he met his future wife and made many life-long friends.
He moved to New Orleans and fell in love with the city and its culture. He especially loved the food and soon added creole/cajun food and seafood boils to his cooking repertoire. He was a true foodie and participated in several cook-offs. He was a die-hard Saints fan but also took his family back to Ole Miss games to spend time with friends. He loved parades and festivals, especially Oktoberfest with his family.
Tariq worked hard for his family and was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed all the sports and activities his sons participated in, especially Little League Baseball and Boxing. His passing leaves a hole in our family that will never be filled.
Tariq loved being spending time with his family and friends, cooking, traveling, comedy, and college football.
