Tan Trong Nguyen

Tan Trong Nguyen, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 67. He was born on March 20, 1957, in Thanh Hai, Phan Thiet, Vietnam, and his journey through life was marked by resilience, love, and a deep connection to his family.

Tan is remembered by his children, Michelle Casiano and husband David, Linda Nguyen, Paul Nguyen and wife Nancy, Nancy Nguyen, and Elizabeth Nguyen. He was also a proud grandfather to Serena, Maliya, Lyric, Kaiden, Layla, Ava, Carter, Elliana, and Aiden, in addition to being a great-grandfather to Alina. He is also survived by siblings, Tri, Ton, Dung, Long, Khanh, Hai, Oanh, Ninh, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Quyen Duc Nguyen and Tinh Thi Tran, as well as his two brothers, Cong and Dung, and his sister, Huong.

Tan leaves behind a legacy of compassion, gratitude, and a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A lifelong source of kindness and support, he dedicated himself to helping others whenever possible. One of the last phrases he shared with his family, offering comfort and reassurance, was, "Everything will be okay." He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Prayers and visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435. A traditional ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After the service, the burial will take place at Mandeville Cemetery, 1695 Montgomery Street, Mandeville, Louisiana 70448.
