Tami Anne Lamy of Covington, Louisiana passed away on December 14, 2023, at St Tammany Hospital surrounded by her loving children and family.
Tami was born December 9, 1962 in Covington, Louisiana She graduated from Covington High School and then received a Bachelor of Science at Southeastern Louisiana University. Tami earned a Masters in Nurse Anesthesia and practiced as a CRNA for over 30 years.
Tami is survived by her wonderful children Caitlin Mc Devitt, Bailey McDevitt, Brendan McDevitt and grandson River McDevitt Salter. Sister Patty Kymen, Therese Lamy Pasano, Kitty Nagem , Mary Beth Ferguson, and brother Bobby Lamy.
Tami is preceded in death by her parents Gerrard Lamy and Marie Mustacchia Lamy of Covington. Husband James McDevitt of Boston Massachusetts. Nephew Salvadore Anthony Rabito Jr and Brother In Law Blake Kymen.
Tami was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her warm personality, infectious smile and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. Tami loved vacations on the farm Massachusetts with her children and late husband. She will always be remembered " The Fun Aunt " always taking her nieces and nephews to Mardi Gras and spending summers with them at her home. Tami was a beautiful person inside and out. She made a lasting impression and impact on many lives, especially those she worked with and her long-time high school friends.
Liturgy of the word will take place January 4, 2024, in the chapel at St Joseph's Abbey Retreat Center at 11:30. Graveside to follow.
