Our hearts are saddened to announce the passing away of our VERY special loved one, Sybil Dill Crespo. Sybil received her Heavenly wings on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Although we wanted to keep her here on earth with us, God needed her in Heaven more. Sybil was a native of New Orleans LA, born on July 31, 1945. She resided in Chalmette LA, prior to Hurricane Katrina. Her current residence was in Hammond, LA, where she worked as a homemaker.
Sybil will be remembered by all for her dry, witty humor. Everyone always told her that she “Broke the Mold.” She enjoyed spending time with her family ,friends, and her dogs, Lola and Tootsie, watching praise and worship on TV, Thursday lunches with the girls ,nurturing her plants, watching the humming birds while drinking coffee on the patio, playing cards, listening to the “Oldies”, and shopping on the home network channels.
Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril Dill and Miriam Webber. She is survived by her loving devoted spouse of fifty-three years, Albert “Don” Crespo; sisters: Dale Valenti, and Denise Sperber; son: Anthony Taranto; daughters: Sherry Corona, Rachel Correa, and Stephanie Harris; son-in-laws: Fernando Correa and Andrew Harris; grandchildren: Derek, Joshua, Desiree, Aleea, Lee, Beaux, Dylon, Gabrielle, Emily, Addyson, Alyvia, and Anthony. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
In order to honor both Sybil and Don’s wishes, a Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held for immediate family members only.
