Sidney Joseph DeBlanc Jr.

Sidney Joseph DeBlanc Jr. passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023 in his home in Mandeville, Louisiana at the age of 77. He was born December 23, 1945 to Sidney DeBlanc Sr. and Thelma DeBlanc. He is survived by his devoted wife and caregiver, Joan DeBlanc. His children, Lauren-Ashley DeBlanc and Sidney DeBlanc III, and adoring grand-daughter, Hanna Rae DeBlanc. Sidney attended De La Salle High School where he had a scholarship for football and track. He was also class president his freshman year of high school. He was a director for Fairco and in sales for Coppertone and Pillsbury. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Saints and LSU games. Sidney was passionate about bowling. On October 31, 1995, Sidney bowled a perfect 300 game and was presented with a plaque by the New Orleans Bowling Association. He was also an animal lover, and his favorite dog was Stella. Sidney was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church. Sidney enjoyed music and talking to people. He was a very likeable person to all. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 11:00am-12:00pm followed by a funeral mass at 12:00pm.
