Sarah Jane Marie Kearns of Abita Springs, born on January 25th, 2006, passed away and entered into her Eternal Reward on January 7th, 2021, at the age of fourteen. She was homeschooled and was an excellent, self-driven student at Holy Family Homeschool Apostolate. Sarah Jane was a chorister of the Latin Mass Girl’s Choir for several years, a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Latin Mass Community in Covington, and was an especially talented pianist with a love for drawing. Sarah Jane was baptized at St. Jane de Chantal on February 25th, 2006, received her First Holy Eucharist on October 21st, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was confirmed on June 7th, 2020 at St. Jane de Chantal. She was a true witness of the Roman Catholic faith and strived to live a holy, virtuous life.
Sarah Jane was survived by her parents Andrew and Jeanne Kearns, her siblings Jacob Daniel, Anna Marie and Samuel Paul, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. The Kearns family expresses their deepest gratitude for all those who have surrounded them with prayers and support during this time.
On Thursday, January 14th, 2021, at St. Jane de Chantal in Abita Springs.
Sarah Jane will have a visitation from 10:30am - 12pm with a Solemn High Requiem Mass beginning at noon. Internment will be at St. Joseph Abbey in St. Benedict, LA.
