Russell Picou Sr.

On Monday, May 7, 2018, Russell Picou Sr. passed away suddenly at the age of 59 years.  Russell led a full and wonderful life with his family.  Born in New Orleans, he was a mechanic by trade for 43 years and was the owner of R&R Automotive for the past 20 years.  Russell was the son of the late Charles H. Picou Sr. and Claretta Prinz Picou.  Russell will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 41 years Sandra (Sandy) Bergeron Picou and their children, Janie P. Gomez (Jamie), Jodie P. Graham (Matt), and Russell (Rusty) Picou Jr.  He will also be missed by his sister Debra P. Irvin (Gerald), his brother Clifford Picou Sr. (Marion).  He was the brother of the late Charles H. Picou Jr.  Russell was also a grandfather to 8 wonderful grandchildren and 3 beautiful great-grandchildren.  He will also live forever in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Russell being a long time Elk’s member, his family and friends will celebrate his life Sunday, June 24, from 11am to 3pm at the Slidell Elk’s Lodge located at 34212 Elks Rd., Slidell, La. 70460.
