Russell F. Peterson of Covington, Louisiana passed away on May 6, 2024 at the age of 69. Russell was born to Roger Peterson and Marion Peterson in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on October 16, 1954.

He is survived by his daughters, Alexia Peterson (Brady Richert), Candi Bjorge (Troy Bjorge). Step Son Stuart Montgomery (Amy Montgomery). Brothers Barry, David and William and Sister LeaAnne Bubnich. along with 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Peterson, parents Roger and Marion Peterson. 

Russell served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He also enjoyed football. His favorite team was the Green Bay Packers whom he had an entire room dedicated to. He also enjoyed hunting and singing. He loved fishing and worked for Trane Company for many years until he retired.

Russell's last few years of life were spent with his Daughter Lexi who cared for his needs along with his Son-in-law Brady. He loved his Daughters Lexi and Candi and his 3 cats more than anything. He will be missed by family and friends. 

Everyone who met Russell could see that he was the sweetest, most caring, and funniest man they knew. He gave many years of his life to helping others from serving in The Navy, in the Vietnam War, to always taking care of his loved ones. At the hospital, he was always referred to as everyone's favorite patient. He left an impact on everyone's lives he came across. Russell was loved very much, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of his family and friends
