Rudolph Valentino; A retired musician, band director and army veteran from WWII,  a native of New Orleans for nearly 69 years, Diamondhead, MS for 20 years, and Mandeville, LA for 4 years was called home on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA.  He was 92, a graduate of Warren Easton High School, Loyola University and LSU.  He was survived by his wife Marilyn Bourgeois Valentino of over 63 years.  He was greeted by his parents, Mariano & Mary Veca Valentino and his siblings Mariano (Brother) Valentino, Anthony Valentino, Moina Valentino Agnelly, Lawrence Valentino and Thelma Valentino.  He is survived by his daughters Julie Valentino Davis (Julian) and Lisa Valentino Rockwell (Robbie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren Jonathan Davis, Jennifer Davis Necaise (Drew), Robert Rockwell, Kenneth Rockwell, Thomas Rockwell, Mary Rockwell, Michael Rockwell, Daniel Rockwell and Catherine Rockwell. He is also survived by brother-in-law Dr. Melvin G. Bourgeois(Geraldine) and sisters-in-law Marion Valentino and Mary Ann Valentino and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on November 17, 2017 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 from 10:30-11:30am followed by Mass at 11:30am with burial in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Rd., Slidell, LA  70460 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “The Ochsner Cardiac Rehabilitation Program” with checks made payable to Ochsner Health System, 1514 Jefferson Hwy. BH607, New Orleans, LA 70122 or online giving at giving.ochsner.org.
