On March 29, 2025, RoseMarie Stehle, 86, got her wings and went to walk with the angels.
RoseMarie or “Ma” or “Ruby”, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends was born in Queens, New York, July 15, 1938.
She lived a long life and loved old movies, the Cyclone rollercoaster at Coney Island, Far Rockaway Beach in New York, hummingbirds and Amaryllis blooms, cooking a great meal, or going out for Italian food, crab claws and grilled oysters. Her favorite musical was “Showboat”, one of her favorite songs was “Ruby” from the movie “Ruby Gentry”, and she loved Outlander, but, above all, she loved and cared and was fierce in her love and devotion for her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wallace Philip Stehle (2mos), her father, William Knespler of Queens New York, her mother, Mary Elsie Knespler Binkley of Springfield, Tennessee, and her husband Wallace Arthur Stehle of Covington, LA. She is survived by her children, Kim Russell (Marshall) of Mandeville,LA, Keith Stehle (Ronda) of Camdenton, Missouri, Karen Watson (Mark) of Mandeville, LA.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Barnett (Michael), Kaleb Watson (Mickayla) and Benjamin Watson (Emily) all of Mandeville, LA, Madison Stehle of Seattle, Washington and Keith P. Stehle of Camdenton, Missouri. She also has two great-grandsons, Levi & Liam Barnett of Mandeville, LA.
She is also survived by her brother Brad Binkley and sisters Evelyn Baggett & Lolly Lorraine Reynolds, both of Tennessee, and her cousins, Phyllis Knespler Becker and Rose Anne Knespler (Mickey) Dillworth both of Long Island, NY, and Terri Pamatat, Daytona Beach, Florida.
A private celebration was held by family after her cremation. Arrangements made with Bagnell and Son Funeral home of Covington, LA.
