Rosalie Bertucci

Rosalie T. Bertucci, age 82 passed away with peace and grace on January 9, 2019 with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Richard, and their children Valerie B. Gostl (Mark), Suzette Bertucci, Richard S. Bertucci (Roni), and Julie B. Brauner (Steve).  Beloved Grandmother of Jill Gostl, Jessica Gostl Sutton (Casey), Mark Gostl, Jr., Tyler Smith, Jordan Smith, Gabriel Brauner, and Emma Brauner. Beloved Great Grandmother of Tristan Sutton. Loving Sister-in-law of Agatha Hymel and the late Gerard Hymel, Betty and Anthony Bertucci, Catherine and Earl DeRouen and the late Marion C. Bertucci. Rosalie will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rosalie was born in Brooklyn, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Catherine Trapani. Longtime resident of Lakeview she relocated to Covington after Katrina. Rosalie was a devout member of St Dominic’s Catholic Church in New Orleans and St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Covington where she was an active member of the Alter Society, Lunch, and Blanket Ministries. Rosalie was awarded the Order of St. Louis Medal in 2010. Thank you to Fidelis Care Center I and Bridge Hospice for their care of our mother in her last days. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in memory of Rosalie on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Benedict’s Church, 20370 Smith Road, Covington, LA.
