Roland "Ted" Rondeau, Jr. unexpectedly passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Slidell, La. Ted was native of Jacksonville, Florida and a resident of Slidell LA. Ted is survived by his wife Sue Todd Rondeau, daughter Holly Rondeau Morris and her husband Jason, two adored grandchildren, Lilly and Dylan, the entire Todd family, and friends who became his extended family. Ted had more brothers than any only child ever had: Royal, Durwood, Eddie, Manuel, Jerry (deceased), Irwin, Brian, Tim, “The Park Rats”, and so many more.
Ted attended Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Fl and was a part of the near-legendary class of 1965. He began his college studies at Tulane University and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in psychology. He was a proud Seminole and experienced the Coach Bobby Bowden years as an alumnus. Ted served our country in the United States Army where he taught pilots to fly relying only on the planes instrument panels, which was necessary for various flying conditions. For many years he coached youth basketball and softball and these were some of the happiest years of his life. Ted was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Ted also worked at United Parcel Service and more recently at various schools in the St Tammany Parish School System. His school home for the past five years was the Spartan Family of Salmen High School. He worked with special needs students and felt that this was his true calling.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday October 22, 2016, at 3:00 pm,at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 360 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458. Visitation will begin at 2:30 pm with a reception to follow.
