Robin Canady

Robin Hipps Canady, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Slidell after a long illness. Mother of Darryl Arthur Bergeron, Jr. Darren Anthony Bergeron (Shirley), Kristen Bergeron Jurich (Kevin), Sherry Kirsch Holt (Scott), John Stephen Kirsch III (Jennifer), David Michael Canady, Grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, Great grandmother to twenty great grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Leonard Hipps and Shirley Guelfo Hipps. Sister of Leonard Anthony Hipps (Shirley), Rebecca Hipps Laudan (Elliott), Gina Hipps Hakim and the late Gary Michael Hipps (Cherylynn).

Mrs. Canady was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell and retired from Dillard’s Department Store.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation at Bagnell Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, Louisiana 70435 on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Church services will be held immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph’s Abbey Church, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, Louisiana 70457. Interment to follow in the Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
