Robert "Robbie" Hynes Jr.

Robert “Robbie” Patrick Hynes Jr., age 55, passed away on December 13, 2016 at his home in Covington LA. He was born in New Orleans, LA to Robert Patrick Hynes Sr. and Leslie Lucille Lionnet.

Robert grew up in Covington, LA. He graduated from Covington High School in Covington, LA in 1979. After high school he worked at The Yacht Works in Mandeville LA and then for himself in a successful plumbing business.

Robert married Tara Smith Hynes in 1993 in Mandeville LA. They were happily married for 23 years. They shared their life with two beautiful daughters Mallory and Emily Hynes.

Robert was a problem solver expert at his job. He was also a master craftsman in woodworking. His heart was as big as his spirit and was always the first to help a person in need. He loved to treasure hunt and to spend time outdoors tending to his garden.

Robert is survived by his wife Tara, his two daughters Mallory and Emily, Mother Leslie, Father Robert(Elois), sister Rachel(Chas), two nephews Stephen(Kayla), and Nicholas, and many other Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

Family, Friends, and Others whose lives Robert touched are invited to The Bogue Falaya Hall at the Greater Covington Center located at 317 N. Jefferson Ave. Covington LA for a Memorial Service from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday December 21, 2016 to celebrate his life, eat food, and share great memories.
