Robert "Bobby" Delatte, Jr.

On the early morning of January 3, 2022 Robert P. Delatte Jr. “Bobby” of Covington Louisiana died in his home at the age of 61. Bobby was born on June 10, 1960 to Robert Sr. and Barbara Delatte. He played football for the Covington Lions and helped them win the State Championship 1976 with an undefeated season. After high school he joined the Marine corps. He worked in construction and later spent most of his career driving trucks. He was a devoted husband and farther. Bobby was with his wife Dawn for 37 years and raised three wonderful children Ashleigh, Justin, and Amelia. He also had two grandchildren Wyatt and Waylon, who he enjoyed spending time with and passing on the traditions of hunting and fishing.
He was well known and love around his hometown area. Bobby was known to have never met a stranger and would give everything he had to help someone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and working with his hands.
He is survived by his wife Dawn Delatte, Children Ashleigh Boudreaux, Justin Boudreaux(Sara), Amelia Delatte, Robert Delatte III, Farther Robert Delatte Sr. Step mother Carolyn Delatte and four siblings Scott Delatte, Jordan Delatte, Julie Davenport and Lue Grantham. Bobby was preceded in death by his Mother Barbara Delatte, Brother Brian Delatte, and sister Tammy Chatellier.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday January 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
