Roberta (Bert) Talamo age 90 of Marrero entered eternal rest peacefully on the morning of Friday November 11, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Orleans on December 14, 1931 to Douglas Rodrigue and Clarisse Landry. She was married to her now deceased husband Salvador P Talamo for 67 years. She was the loving mother to Holly Acosta (Charles) and David Talamo (Shirlene). She was the proud Grandmother of Bryan Talamo Sr., Joshua Talamo (Lori), Clay Acosta, (Peniel), and Kaley Boudreaux (Reese). Devoted and proud Great Grandmother to Bryan Jr. (Haley), Logan, Dylan, Evan, Jordan, (Mother, Amanda), Brayden and Olivia Talamo, Charles II, and Victoria Acosta, Mila, and Ellie Boudreaux. Great Great Grandmother to Axle Talamo. Roberta was a caring sibling to Lloyd Rodrigue, Lorraine Bordlee, who proceeded her in death and Brenda Palermo. A native and longtime resident of Marrero for over 86 years, Roberta graduated from Marrero High school. Roberta was family oriented, loving, kind, humble, caring and loyal. She loved to draw and paint, play guitar, piano and sing. However her true passion was spending time with her loving family. Roberta was a unique, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Special acknowledgement to David and Shirlene for all the loving care they provided, and also thanks to Compasses (hospice) for the great job they did.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, La. 70460 on November 23, 2022 at 11:00am.
