Roberta Perkins Vaughn Ranson, longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of St. Tammany since Hurricane Katrina, died on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the age of 88. She was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana to Wallace Ulysses Perkins and Norine Bernadette Bergeron. She is survived by her husband, Rodney A. Ranson to whom she married on November 23, 2007. Her brother Clayton J. Perkins recently preceded her in death. She is the mother of three children; a son, Kirk (Vicky) Vaughn, and two daughters; Paulette (Edward) Hillis and Jennifer (Danny) Sunseri. Affectionately called Berta by her eight grandchildren, Zachery Vaughn, Renae Marie Vaughn (deceased), Erika Vaughn Tate, Tammy Arnold Ensminger, Tracy Arnold Henry, Everett Hillis, Ronald Beechler, Jr., and Julie Beechler Jackson. Berta also has six great-grandchildern, Logan Jackson, Cadence Jackson, Avery Ensminger, Oliver Tate, Sawyer Tate and Cole Henry. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of The Lake Roman Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA. Visitation from 10:00AM until service time. Interment in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, Louisiana.
