Robert J. Mautino II of Abita Springs passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 45. He was born in Avondale, Louisiana, to parents Robert J. Mautino Sr. and Karen B. Mautino.
Robert, fondly known as Joe, was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Mautino Sr., and Karen B. Mautino, as well as his uncle, Lawrence Krauss Jr.
He is survived by his best friend, wife, and the love of his life, Lindsey Mautino. Joe was a selfless father by choice, not by blood, to Kael Chevalier, Landon Chevalier, Julz Chevalier, and Lane Chevalier. He is also survived by his aunts, Deborah Boudreaux, and Pat Krauss; his cousins Randall and Nicole Boudreaux and their family; Howard, Stacy, and Briley Krauss; Dalton and Mary Ellen and their family; Ethan Krauss; Judy and Tom Surbrook; and his son Tyler Kennedy.
Joe was an avid deer hunter and loved to fish. His loyalty and unwavering support were a constant source of strength and comfort to everyone lucky enough to call him a friend. Time and distance never lessened the bond he shared with others, and reconnecting with Joe always felt like no time had passed.
His ability to create lasting connections will forever be cherished by those whose lives were touched by his kindness, warmth, and friendship.
