Robert L. Drew passes away peacefully at his home on Friday June 27, 2014 surrounded by family. He was 82. Born in Duffy, MS, he was a resident of New Orleans, LA, Metairie and his last years in Covington, LA. Beloved by his wife of 61 years Frances Tucker Drew, son Robert L. Drew. Daughters Donna F. Southern, Patricia K. Warner and Kirsten N. Lind, brother Jim Drew, sisters Katherine Stroup and Sharon Hedgepeth, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his father Vester L. Drew, mother Katherine Drew and brother Danny Drew. Robert was an air force veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a graduate of Tulane University where he received a masters degree in architecture. Robert was an architect at Curtis and Davis architects for much of his career, his many projects included The Royal Sonesta Hotel, The Royal Orleans Hotel, F Edward Hebert Hospital and the Louisiana Superdome.
