Robert “Bobby” Louis Draper passed away peacefully in his home in Folsom, Louisiana on September 19, 2021. Bobby is survived by his loving, devoted wife Louise “Cissy” Draper, daughters Lark Myers (Marc) and Claire Barker (Nick), brother William Draper (Mary Ann) and many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse Draper Sr. and Sybil Draper, and brother Jesse Glenn Draper Jr.
Above all else, Bobby loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife, Cissy, who he loved so much. He took pride in raising his daughters and teaching them all the most important things (ratio of ice to bourbon, how to clean a deer, how to negotiate, etc.). Depending on the year and the season, Bobby was a horse show dad or a ballet recital Dad, and he was always there with bells on. Regardless of the season, he was hands down, the best Dad.
Bobby was an avid farmer, enjoying his time on the family farm with the sheep, horses, and his Labrador, Maggie. He enjoyed working with close family friends to improve the genealogy of the herd, creating a superb product, of which he was so proud.
Never having met a stranger, Bobby was full of endless stories and anecdotes to liven up any conversation. Everyone who met Bobby has a story of his generosity, love, welcomed sarcasm, and unending humor. To say that Bobby was hilarious was an understatement. He was a gifted storyteller, bringing anyone listening to tears of laughter. He was also a sounding board with endless good advice for anyone in need. The Draper family grew whenever Bobby met a friend, finding them wherever he went. Bobby will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
