Ricky P. Masson

Ricky P. Masson passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the age of 63. He was born November 11, 1960 in New Orleans, LA and resided in Terrytown, LA for 50 years. Ricky is preceded in death by his Father, Robert P. Masson, Jr.; and his Sister, Cindy Masson Sutfin. He is survived by his Mother, Marcelle Petitfils Masson; Brother, Robby Masson; Brother-in-law, Randy Sutfin; Nephews, Joshua Sutfin, Jordan Masson (Yasmine) and Brandon Sutfin (Megan); as well as his Great-Niece, Liv Elise Sutfin.'

Ricky was known to be an animal lover, volunteering many years at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, LA and working at a veterinarian office in Terrytown, LA in his earlier years. For his kind acts, he was awarded the title ‘Volunteer of the Year’ from the Audubon Zoo. He was also employed for many years at St. Tammany Hospital and Rouses grocery store. Ricky was known for his creativity, artistic and woodworking skills. He shared his creations with his family and friends who all cherish those works of art today. Though Ricky had no children of his own he considered his nephews Joshua Sutfin, Jordan Masson (Yasmine), and Brandon Sutfin (Megan) as his own and took great joy in being their uncle. Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service is to be held at a later date.
