Richard Fitch

Dear Family and Friends it saddens us to announce the passing of Richard Allen Fitch on Saturday, April 28, 2018. He leaves behind his wife Linda, daughter Lori and son in law Stephen LaFrance and grandsons Jordan and Jacob LaFrance.  Richard spent 3 years in the US Marine Core and served his country in the Korean War. Richard was born on December 22, 1932 in New Orleans Louisiana and grew up in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He worked and retired from Marathon Oil Company. He was a resident of Abita Springs for the past 22 years and a member of the Covington Presbyterian Church. Richard has completed the journey God sent him on and we are comforted that his in His loving hands. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas James and Mary Edith Fitch, brothers James Fitch and half-brother Robert Schiller. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service Friday May 4, 2018 at Covington Presbyterian Church at 12:00 p.m. visitation from 11:00 a.m. until Service time. Interment at Eternal rest Cemetery 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, LA 70435.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 South Jefferson Avenue, Covington, LA.
