Rhonda Marie Wolkart

Rhonda Hammer Wolkart passed away peacefully at her home, in Abita Springs, LA on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born on Monday, January 8, 1968, in New Orleans, LA, she lived a fulfilling life and loved her family and friends dearly. Rhonda was the loving wife of 34 years to Kent Wolkart, the proud mother of Kasey Wolkart, mother-in-law to Courtney Wolkart, loving grandmother “Lolli” to Landon Wolkart, and is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Clawitter (Charlie Jochum), aunt Sandra Morin, as well as father-in-law Vernon Wolkart, sister-in-law Debbie Root (James), and nephew Shane Philmon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elaine Hammer, and mother-in-law Francis Wolkart.

Rhonda’s occupation in banking suited her outgoing and sociable personality. She was a giving person, always wanting to help or lend a hand to people in need and was an avid animal lover. Traveling to the beach and vacationing with her family and friends was one of her favorite pastimes. Out of all the Titles in her life, by far her favorite was being a “Lolli” to her grandson, whom she adored and loved deeply. Rhonda will be loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Services at St. Jane de Chantal, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs LA, on Saturday, September 14th 2024. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, with services starting at 11 AM. Interment to follow at the Abita Springs Cemetery #2. After which there will be a celebration of life with family and friends in Folsom, LA.
