Rene Joseph Comeaux III

Rene Joseph Comeaux III, born on July 29, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in Pearl River, Louisiana. A cherished member of his family and community, Rene leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed.

A man of many passions, Rene was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a proud supporter of Louisiana State University, demonstrating his loyalty as an ardent LSU super fan, celebrating victories with family and friends.

Rene was the beloved son of the late Rene J. Comeaux, Jr. and Patricia Finnan Comeaux. He is survived by his brothers, Thomas, and his wife Linda, and Stephen  Comeaux, and Donna. His sisters, Deborah Diaz, and her husband Ralph, Sr. Joan M. Comeaux, Norma Barrial, and her husband Paul, Yvonne M. Comeaux, and Patricia Mullen (Sean, dec.), as well as many nieces and nephews also carry on his memory.

Rene's family and friends will remember him not only for his love of the outdoors and sports but also for his kind spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by a  Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. on March 25, 2025 St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell, LA. A private family burial will take place at the St. Roch Cemetery.
