Raymond N. Patterson II

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond N. Patterson II, age 57, of Slidell, LA on August 2nd, 2024 after his battle with cancer.

Ray was born February 22nd, 1967, to his Father Raymond N. Patterson and Mother Carolyn Patterson. Growing up in Algiers, Ray met the mother of his children Sherry Keppler, who gave him two sons Raymond N. Patterson III (Trey) and Dustin Patterson (Dusty). Ray’s desire in life was to be a loving father and teacher to his sons. He taught them to be self-sufficient, and how to work on just about anything. He was a true Cajun who loved cooking and boiling crawfish. Ray was an excellent welder and fabricator at Quality Fab where he met lifelong friends Timmy and Glenn and developed the skills and talent necessary to lead him to build Navy ships at Austel in Daphne, AL, where he met friends Leon and Vera. Ray spent most days buying guns, drinking beer, and dipping, living the true American dream. 

Raymond is survived by his son Trey, wife Tara, and their four children Kamron, Adelynne, Konner, and Colt. His son Dusty, wife Ashly, and their three children Ava, Bentley, and Cali. His stepson Trevor, wife Erica, and daughter Ellie.

He is also survived by his siblings Deborah, Kim, Tommy, and Chip. 

A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 9th, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Celebration Church (Calvary Baptist) located at 1615 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA 70458
