Mr. Raymond “Ricky” Genre, born on November 9, 1948 in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late Roselyn Cuevas Genre and the late Raymond Genre, passed away at age 70 on February 10, 2019. Ricky served in the Army National Guard and he had a lengthy career as a fire protection design engineer until he retired in 2008. He was known for regaling friends and family with his colorful stories and humor. Ricky was the loving husband of Mary Ann Berlin Genre. He is survived by his loving sons and their wives, Aaron and Anysia Genre, Marc and Yashica Genre, granddaughter Mary Catherine Genre, grandson Heath Dean and his wife Chekereha, great-grandchildren Lidya and Athena Dean. He will be missed by his special friend, Biscuit. His sisters include Maureen, Susan, Julie, and Jeanine. Those who wish to may donate in Ricky’s name to a charity of their choice.
