Ralph "Skip" George Miller, Jr.

Ralph “Skip” George Miller, Jr. of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 82.  Skip is survived by his loving wife, Helen Sims Miller, his children Gregory (Emily) Miller, Margaret Miller, Jonathan (Amy) Miller, Matthew (Ayako) Miller, John Sims Shelton, Lillian (Andre) Savoie, his brother, William Miller and his nine grandchildren.

Skip was a graduate of Southeastern University and obtained his master’s in social work from Tulane University.

With his tremendous accomplishments, Skip worked his entire professional career for the welfare of children through the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. He was an inspirational leader, mentor, arbitrator, consultant, and advocate for children. Skip also served on the Board of Regina Coeli for 20 years.

In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his family, enjoy all types of outdoor activities especially backpacking.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. on Friday February 3, 2023, at St Benedict Catholic Church 20370 Smith Road Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow in the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery 75376 River Road St. Benedict Louisiana 70457
