Preston Landry

Preston A. Landry, born on February 29, 1940 in Lake Arthur, LA passed away at age 78 on July 21st 2018 in Slidell, LA. He was the son of the late Leland and Eunice Landry. Preston was the beloved husband of Valerie Hilkirk Landry. He is survived by his children, Carolyn Landry Maffettone, Diedre Landry McCarra (Rickey), and Christopher Landry (Robyn), Step-Children, Amy, Julie, Megan, and Hunter Hilkirk. Sisters and Brothers, Naomi Ann Messick (Gary), Eunice Pearl Cox (Earl), Ramona Wilkes (Fred), Linn Landry, Vernon Landry (Nell), and Wayne Landry. Grandchildren, Domenic, Anthony, and Molly Maffettone, Ryan Mariche, Evan and Kyle Landry, Erica, Brittany, Marcus Landry, and Justin McCarra. He is also survived by 8 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Jessie Sharp Landry, daughter Janice Landry Mariche, son Marcus Landry and his brother LB Landry. Preston served proudly in the United States Army and National Guard. He was an avid Football fan that loved watching Saints and LSU Football Games. He enjoyed “tinkering” in his workshop, woodworking, and keeping his yard beautiful. He especially enjoyed decorating his yard at Christmas time and spent many hours getting it “just right” for everyone to enjoy. He loved his family and his constant canine companion, “Sweet P”. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Funeral Service in his honor, July 25th, 2018 at Bagnell and Sons Funeral Home, Visitation 9:30 am. until 11:30 am, Service to follow.
