Peggy Ruth Provost Hyde

Peggy Ruth Provost Hyde, born on November 29, 1930, in Port Arthur, Texas, peacefully departed this life on January 14, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Peggy lived a life filled with love and family. She was a mother to her children Carol Ann Hyde Spinner (Conrad) and Keith Lee Hyde (Carla), mother- in-law to Cynthia Hyde and Anna Hyde and sister to Nancy Dillon.  She took great joy in being a grandmother to her many grandchildren: Michael Hyde, Maxine Faciane (Alan Onellion), Stephen Hyde (Chere), Racheal King (Jeff), Stacy Hyde (Shelby), Tabitha Hymel (Chris), Sabrina Kelley (Keith), Ashley Cotten (Kevin) and Chad Perkins. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, including Victoria, Gavin, Madison, Morgan, Dameon, Tiegan, Ian, Beau, Cole, Scarlett, Jaxon, Stella, Angel, Breana, McKenzie, Gage, and Peyton, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Brielle.

Peggy was preceded in death by her children Leslie Eugene Hyde, Mark Adaire Hyde, and Jean Marie Hyde. As well as her parents, Lazard Joseph Provost and Ethel Lee Travassos Provost, her sister, Sylvia Provost and brother-in-law Lonnie Dillon. 

GrandMa Peggy, aka, Shorty, was loved by all. She inspired each and every generation, with her strength and love. 

She will be dearly missed, but always remembered and loved to infinity and beyond.
