Paula was born in Bucktown, La and lived in Chalmette for 33 years. As a young woman, Paula worked as a nurse’s aide at Charity Hospital. After Clay was born, she was a stay-at-home Mom and later became an insurance agent and supervisor with Schoen on Canal Street. In retirement Paula and Speedy moved to Covington where they continued to enjoy casino- hopping until Speedy’s passing. Paula was a woman who lived life always looking for the finest of things. She knew what she wanted, when she wanted it and how she wanted it. After losing her beloved Speedy, she loved to pass her time at the casino playing her favorite slot machines surrounded by friends she made there. She was generous with sharing her fun at the casinos with her family and dear friends as well. At the end of her life, however, she came to realize the true wealth of her beautiful Catholic faith. It was in receiving the Sacraments that she was truly at peace and ready to meet God. Paula will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Genevieve Maronge and Ashley, NP of Northlake Oncology and the entire Notre Dame Hospice team, especially Michelle RN. Thank you for loving and caring for Paula through her final days in this life.
