Slidell, LA Paul Thomas Comeaux was called into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on August 13, 2023, at the age of 61. He was born December 29, 1961, in New Orleans, LA to the late Ned J Comeaux and Hubertina Prevost Comeaux. Paul is preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Adrian J Comeaux.
Paul leaves behind his son, Thomas Alan Comeaux, two brothers, Jack Comeaux & Rene Comeaux and his wife Anna, two sisters, Diane Brehm and her husband Tommy, Michele Berthelot and her husband Joey, his sister-in-law, Susie Comeaux (Adrian), and several nieces and nephews.
He was raised in New Orleans Louisiana and was a graduate of Holy Cross High School. Paul was already an experienced mechanic by the time he graduated high school after working on cars with his father and rebuilding with his dad a 1966 Blue Mustang for Paul to have and drive. After high school he began working as a certified Ford mechanic at Bohn Ford for several years and then he finished out his career at Steven’s Auto Salvage in New Orleans East.
As a young father, Paul was a single parent, and he raised his son Thomas. He loved family and spent many Sundays eating Sunday dinner at his parents’ house with family. Which resulted in Paul being a very good cook- which he learned from his mother.
Paul had a love for nature and especially loved spending time on the water and at the lake. He always had a boat and spent much of his free time fishing & crabbing. He spent many family vacations on the lake at the fishing camps with his son, his parents and siblings and nieces and nephews. He was an avid Saints & LSU fan and enjoyed watching many games on TV.
You could always count on him being himself, he never changed, and you could always count on him to be there for you.
Paul’s favorite Bible verse was John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
