Patricia "Patsy" Planche Bopp peacefully passed away on December 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Edward Sidney Bopp for 64 years, daughter of the late Dr. Felix August Planche and Genevieve Lynch Planche, and sister of Andree Planche.  She was predeceased by two brothers –in-law, Conrad and Charles Bopp (Theresa). Patsy was the beloved Mother of Sydney Bopp Perez (Leander III), Dr. Felix Planche Bopp (Barbara), Captain Edward Michael Bopp (Susan), Eric August Bopp (Lisa), Kelly Bopp Weiss (the late Greg Weiss).  She was the grandmother of Kelly Perez Dabezies (Olivier), Captain Leander Henry Perez, IV (finance, Kristin Wolfson), Amber Lynne Bopp, Mary Caitlin Weiss, Margaret Bopp Kuykendall (Frederick), Eric August Bopp, Jr., Samantha Winfield Bopp, Felix Schumann Bopp, Sydney Bopp Weiss, Gabrielle Lee Bopp, Bailey Planche Bopp, Jacob Michael Bopp, and Kylie Bopp Weiss. Great Grandmother of Olivier Clement Dabezies, Jr., Collins Perez Dabezies, Genevieve McKinnon Kuykendall, and Frederick Thurman Kuykendall, V.

Patsy attended Loyola University, Ole Miss and graduated from Tulane University. She was most dedicated to her husband "Eddie" and together they lived life to the fullest traveling, Latin dancing and cherishing dinners with their many dear friends.  Second to Patsy’s love for Eddie, was her love for her family.  She loved spending family time with her children, and felt it important for her family to do activities together, i.e., Sunday lunch, vacations, going out dancing, etc. They were lifetime residents of St. Bernard Parish until Katrina when they relocated to the French Quarter. They were co-owners of St. Bernard Drugs, Albert & Wegmann Pharmacies, and Contesta Apartments.  Patsy served on the Boards of the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, Odyssey House, and Methodist Hospital.

The family would like to extend its deep appreciation to all of her doctors, and especially her wonderful caregivers Kerin Harris, Lolita Braxton, and Michelle Johnson.

Funeral Services were held on December 22, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, with the mass celebrated by Monsignor Christopher Nalty. The burial was blessed by Father Dennis Hayes.

Donations are preferred to New Orleans Pharmacy Museum.
