On Tuesday, January 26, 2021 Pamela (Pam) Champagne, 70, of Slidell, LA, passed away peacefully at Ochsner Northshore Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her late husband Jerry Champagne. Survived by her 2 daughters, Dawn Champagne (Derek St.Amant Sr) and Shannon Ubas (Patrick Ubas Sr.) 3 grandchildren Patrick Ubas Jr. (Sidney Miller), Kylei Ubas (Jefferson Santos), and Madison Donovan.
Pam was born March 24, 1950 in New Orleans, LA to her parents the late Benjamin and Audrey Bruney and brother Gary Bruney. She is also survived by her sisters Jo Ann Lutz (Ronnie) and Kathy Alley (Paul), brothers Royce Bruney (JoEllen) and Chris Bruney (Barbara) and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Pam loved dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family. She always wanted to open a restaurant, and in 2000, while living in Mississippi, her dream became a reality when she and her husband opened PJ’s House of Seafood. She’s loved talking with the customers and meeting new people. After moving back to Louisiana she enjoyed crawfish boils, being along the coast having great fun at the casino. She would always say “I’m going to play like Uncle Ronnie and come home in a limo”. She had a huge heart and a fun loving personality. She is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date
