Pamela Verret Alexander, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana at the age of 74. Born on Tuesday, December 26, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a native of Gretna, Louisiana, where she grew up surrounded by family and friends. She was proud to be a graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School Dove, class of 1969 with many of her close friends still to this day.
She is survived by her two loving daughters: Leigh Ann Yaeger-Zahner and her husband Paul, Ashley Alexander-Ellison and her husband Charles, and her son Robby Yaeger. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Alexandria and Emileigh, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
In addition to her immediate family, Pamela is remembered by her brothers, Gueydan Verret and Richard Verret and wife Patricia as well as her sister-in-law, Linda Verret. She also leaves behind many other family members especially her cherished nieces, nephews and godchildren and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and compassion.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Joseph Alexander, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them as a couple. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Davis Verret and Mary Verdin Verret, as well as her siblings: Elizabeth Verret Gallinghouse, James Verret, and Davis Verret. Her brother-in-law Robert Gallinghouse and sister-in-laws Margie Verret and Diana Verret, also predeceased her, adding to the family she missed dearly.
Pamela embraced hobbies such as gardening, which allowed her to nurture her love for nature and share beautiful moments with her family and friends. She found immense joy in spending time with loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, and her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. A date and time of a Celebration of Life is yet to be determined.
