Pamala Maxey

It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Pamela (Pam) Vesely Maxey of Slidell, La. announces her passing on December 13, 2018. Pam will be lovingly remembered by her husband Charles (Charlie) A. Maxey her son Dreux M. Dixon, her sisters Barbara V. Smith, Mary Jo V.  Shaughnessy and Bridget Vesely and her brothers Michael Vesely and James Vesely. Nieces and nephews include Phyliss Smith Debrow, Leigh Audrey S. Hallas, Katherine (Katie) Smith, Thaddeus (TJ) Vesely, Adam Vesely, William (Bill) Shaughnesy and Elizabeth (Lizzy) Shaughnessy.  In-laws include Roseann Vesely, William (Bill) G. Shaughnessy, Jr., Harold Maxey, Gerald Maxey and Carolyn M. Romare.  Pam was the daughter of the late Audrey McGovern Vesely and James Thaddeus Vesely. Pamela Jay Vesely Maxey was born March 15, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Metairie, La.  She graduated from Holy Name of Jesus Mercy Academy in New Orleans and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, La.  Pam worked many years in the airline industry.     Pam and Charlie enjoyed 22 years of marriage.  They were very devoted to various dogs they rescued.  Pam was an avid cook and loved to entertain and enjoyed everything New Orleans!  A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Slidell La.  Visitation will be in the Church beginning at 10:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, Pam has requested donations to the Church which can be mailed to St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58025 St. Genevieve Lane, Slidell, La.  70460.
