Nicholas J. Chetta, Jr. passed away Friday, June 21st, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family covered in prayers and lots of LOVE!
He resided in Covington, but was a native of New Orleans. He was 71 years young. We all five children, thirteen grands, and three great grands will miss him terribly. Nick lived larger than life, He knew no limits! He made the impossible possible. He never met a stranger, but if he did, he opened his big heart and they became Familia! He was instrumental in countless large festivals, TV shows, and concerts. He was an inventor and an entertainer. He was a Beggar, and a member of the Italian American St. Joseph Society. He was an Ambassador of Music and Entertainment. He was a music lover extraordinaire.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Dr. Nicholas J. Chetta and Ms. Josae "Dee" Nunez. He is survived by his 5 children, Katharine Nichole Chetta, Kristen Josae Collura (Chad,) Nicholas John Chetta, III (Keri,) John William Sullivan Chetta (Robyn,) and Christopher William Chetta. thirteen grands Riley (Veronica,) Brennon (Bridget,) Kerrison (Kevin,) Knox, Kressley, Kambrey, Krew, Arianna, Téa, Avery, Nicholas IV, Andrew, and Willa. Three great-grands Sophia, Kinsley, and Karson. His two sisters Carol Ellis and Constance Mattingly (George.)
We invite you to come celebrate his incredible life with us! Nick's Services will be held at North Cross Methodist Church 311 Hwy 21 Madisonville, Louisiana 70447 on Saturday, June 29th at 11 o'clock in the morning. Church doors will open at 10 o'clock. Reception following at 208 Triangle Park Covington, Louisiana.
